Safety
By using guides certified through Nortind, you can rest assured your guide has the proper skills to ensure group safety. With MAD Mountain Guides, your experience and safety are always the focus. Ski touring in winter always involves some risk, including falls, collisions, avalanches, and other alpine hazards however we do all we can to minimize our exposure to these risks.
Each ski day begins with a group discussion, also called a ferdråd (trip briefing). This is an excellent opportunity to share your thoughts for the day, express preferences, and ask questions. Here, we review the avalanche forecast and discuss terrain choices and tour options together as a group.
