Advanced Avalanche Course
Have you taken a basic avalanche course and want to expand your knowledge about avalanches and traffic in avalanche terrain?
Over 3 days in the mountains, we go more in-depth on snow assessments, terrain classes and buddy rescue.
In this course, we go a little more in depth. We deal with the slightly more complicated aspects of assessing avalanche risk. The goal is to make the participants better equipped to make good choices in more challenging terrain.

Introduction to SSU (Systematic Snow Cover Survey)
Stability tests, how, when and where do we do them?
The impact of the avalanche problem on traffic
The importance of the weather for the avalanche risk
Terrain understanding, road and track choice
Comrade rescue, repetition and continuation. Case based
